Why EmpowerHer Voice? Why Now?

In a world where emotional abuse is often shrouded in silence and misunderstanding, the need for a platform like EmpowerHer Voice has never been more urgent. As we navigate through these challenging times, it’s crucial to address the complexities of relationships marked by narcissistic behaviour and the overwhelming impact they have on the lives of countless women.

The Urgency of Our Mission

Every day, women, including myself and of all ages are confronted with the emotional turmoil that arises from narcissistic relationships. Many feel trapped, isolated, and unheard, battling their inner demons while trying to maintain their families, careers, and personal well-being. This is where EmpowerHer Voice steps in. Founded on the principles of empathy and shared experience, our mission is to empower these women to reclaim their lives and find their voices.

The journey of creating EmpowerHer Voice was born out of my own struggles with a covert narcissist. For years, I was subjected to emotional manipulation, gaslighting, and control, which left me questioning my own reality. After mustering the courage to leave that relationship, I soon found that the battle did not end with divorce. The ongoing custody disputes and financial struggles were relentless, and each day felt like an uphill climb.

As I juggled the demands of motherhood and entrepreneurship, I realised I was not alone in this fight. There are countless women who share similar stories, and they too are grappling with their own daily challenges. This realisation ignited a passion within me to create a safe haven—EmpowerHer Voice—where these women could find support, share their experiences, and ultimately empower each other to break free from the cycle of abuse.

Why Now?

1. Increased Awareness of Emotional Abuse: Society is gradually becoming more aware of emotional and psychological abuse. The conversation around mental health is expanding, creating an opportunity for women to recognise the signs of narcissistic behaviour and seek help. Now is the time to harness this awareness and provide resources that help women understand their experiences.

EmpowerHer Voice aims to cultivate a supportive community where women can connect with others who genuinely understand their struggles.
